Edward Joel "Bo" Moore age 48, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at DCH Hospital. A memorial service in his honor will be announced at a later date.
Bo was born September 14, 1975, in East Lake/Birmingham, Alabama to Shirley Ann Battle Owens and the late William Edward Moore and the late stepfather, Sherman David Sanford. He attended Holt High School where he developed friendships that lasted throughout his life. As a young and adventurous man, he moved across the country to live in California for a couple of years and then to Florida where he eventually made his way back home to Alabama. He was extremely talented with a beautiful voice and was very artistic. Joel was known for his kind and caring nature, selfless in so many ways. He wanted everyone to feel heard and appreciated. He was a colorful soul and touched so many lives over the years. Joel was a caregiver by nature and took care of many people throughout his life including his late stepfather, Sherman David Sanford and his late grandfather, David Joel Battle. He will always be remembered as a comedian and could make anyone smile no matter the circumstance, he knew how to brighten up a room. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his only son, Judah Levi Moore; mother, Shirley Ann Battle Owens; sister, Jennifer "Jenny" Marlowe Babb (Scott); nephew's, Nathaniel S. Marlowe (Karlee) and Zachary T. Marlowe; niece, Leah G. Marlowe and a great nephew, Sawyer Cannon Marlowe and his favorite Aunt, Patti Owens (Thomas).
