Edward M. Orzehowski, age 70, of Erie, passed away March 28th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, following a battle with cancer. He was born May 6, 1955, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward and Ethel (Liggett) Orzehowski.
Ed was a 1974 graduate of McDowell High School. He went on to work at Copes-Vulcan and Lord Corporation. He then spent much of his career in the automotive industry, working as a self-employed car wholesaler for many years. Most recently, he was part of the team at Bianchi Honda before his retirement.
Ed was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving children, Christine Carl (Travis) and Edward A. Orzehowski (Jessica), both of Erie. He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Haylie and Hannah Fugate; Conner and Lennon Orzehowski; and Kendra and Tucker Carl, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He is also survived by his sister, Carol Bomba (Thomas) and brother, Andrew Orzehowski (Dawn), along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his nephew, Thomas Bomba.
In his free time, Ed enjoyed fishing, had a deep appreciation for cars, and never turned down anything chocolate. He also enjoyed all things nautical. Above all else, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were truly the center of his world.
Ed will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his family, and the quiet joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Campbell and the AHN Cancer Center for their exceptional care over the years. Also, a heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St Mary’s Home of Erie and VNA Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Friends and family are invited to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St., Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
