Edward John "Ed" Pacheco ObituaryEdward John Pacheco, 91, born on March 9, 1934, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to Manuel and Evelyn Pacheco, passed away July 21, 2025. Raised in the Catholic faith, he was the eldest of four siblings, with three younger sisters. Ed graduated from Durfee High School in 1952 and the University of Rhode Island in 1957. Following his college education, he embarked on a professional career with the Grinnell Company.
In 1959, Ed relocated to Minnesota with the Grinnell Company, where he met his future wife, Ruby Geraldine Grinager. The couple married in 1968 and welcomed two children: Mark, born in 1969, and Kimberly, born in 1971. That same year, 1969, Ed co-founded Apollo Piping Supply, where he dedicated his professional life until selling the business in 1987.
Upon retiring, Ed found great joy in spending time with his four granddaughters-Kaitlyn, Mckenzie, Emma, and Skylar - and pursuing his passions, which included painting, investing, and a deep love for golf. A devoted member of Olympic Hill Golf Club for 54 years, he cherished both the game and the friendships he built there.
Edward was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Ann, and nephew Greg Couture. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby; his son Mark and daughter in-law Sharon; his daughter Kimberly; four granddaughters; his sisters Evelyn Wood, Priscilla Couture and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Chrisitan Burial 11 AM Tuesday July 29, 2025, at St. Hubert Catholic Community, 8201 Main Street, Chanhassen, with visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment, Eden Prairie Cemetery.
