It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marion B. Kingsbury on July 13, 2025, at the age of 92. Marion was born on November 24, 1932, in Rhode Island, to the late Herbert and Evelyn (nee Gilmore) Bailey. She then planted roots and lived her life for 65 years as a resident of Washington, New Jersey, before moving to Milford to be with her family.

Marion was the beloved wife of Robert H. Kingsbury, who passed away in 2010. They were married in June 1956 and celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Marion was a Home Economics teacher at Washington Township Middle School for 9 years and then taught at Warren Hills Regional High School until her retirement in 1994.

Marion was a 1954 graduate of the University of Rhode Island. She was a 69-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, New Jersey. She was chairman of the Presbyterian Women's Association for 5 years, a member of the Deborah/Ruth Circle, chairman of the kitchen committee, and a member of the Warren County Historical Society.

Marion is survived by a daughter, Janet K. (Richard) Matulis, three sons, James H. (Anne) Kingsbury, David H. (Diana) Kingsbury, and Andrew R. (Ruth) Kingsbury; Ten grandchildren, Daniel, David, and Lindsey Matulis, Sarah, Hailey, and Katie Kingsbury, Matthew and Timothy Kingsbury, and Virginia and Daniel Kingsbury; Six great-grandchildren, Paxton, Hudson and Tegan Matulis, David and Robert Kingsbury, and Callan Matulis. Marion has two sisters, Constance Warren and the late Doris Bailey.

Marion was known for her sharp wit, vibrant personality, and ability to forge friendships effortlessly. She had a passion for gardening, knitting, and word searches, and she was an avid reader who found joy in the pages of many books. Her charitable spirit and generosity were hallmarks of her character, reflecting her deep devotion to family and friends. While her absence leaves a profound void, the love and laughter she shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
