PATZER, EDWARD E., age 91 years, of Collingswood, NJ, formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ, completed his earthly journey on July 18, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne (nee Carr) for 59 years and the loving father of David Patzer (Colleen) of Bel Air, MD and Carol Sawn (John) of Marlton, NJ, the proud grandfather of Meghan Kelly (Chris), Brenna and Grace Patzer and Joseph, Timothy and Christian Sawn and great grandfather of Graham and Rory Kelly. He was preceded in death by his dear sister Elsie Yungermann and brother-in-law Jack Yungermann. Also survived by sister-in-law Mary Shute and by 16 beloved nieces and nephews. Ed was a loyal friend to many and greatly enjoyed being social. Ed graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, MO in 1951, then served in the United States Air Force through 1956, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was assigned to the 782nd Troop Carrier Squadron and was stationed in Germany. After being honorably discharged, he then spent the next 34 years with Hussmann Corporation, initially in Bridgeton, MO and later relocating to the company's plant in Cherry Hill, NJ in 1958. He rose to become Vice President of Sales and retired in 1990. His second act included roles as a manufacturer's representative, real estate agent and a delivery man for two local florists. A man of deep faith, Ed served as a volunteer and Head Usher for Holy Eucharist Parish in Cherry Hill, NJ for over 25 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf (all with a cold can of Budweiser) and was a loyal fan of the Eagles and Phillies.
