BELGRADE-Edward James Perkowski II, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 54 in his home.
Ed was born on September 23, 1970, to Edward James and Rebecca (Petri) Perkowski in Erie County, Pennsylvania. He grew up near Erie and spent most of his life in the area. For many years, he worked as a janitor. In 2019, Ed made the move to Belgrade, Nebraska, where he built a new chapter of his life. On May 4, 2024, he married the love of his life, Michelle Christensen, and gained a family he adored. A die-hard Steelers fan, Ed never missed a game-cheering on his team with passion and loyalty.
Ed is survived by his wife, Michelle of Belgrade; his step-children, Kadin, Conner, and Brian Davis; his sisters, Bridgett Perkowski of Lake City, PA, Belinda (Douglas) Rozzel of Cleveland, OH, and Tonya (Alan) Wienczkowski of Erie, PA; his brothers, Jack Petri (Brenda) of Erie, Walter Perkowski of Albion, PA, and Joseph (Marilyn) Perkowski of Erie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place, and a service to celebrate Ed's life will be held at a later date.
