Much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Edward Pitt 61 of Paonia Colorado, passed away February 6, 2026, after a hard battle with cancer. Edward, better known by all as Ed or Eddie was born April 14,1964 to Shirley Anne Edwards and John Edward Pitt. He grew up in Paonia and graduated from Paonia High School. After high school he joined the United States Army. He achieved the rank of E5 Combat Engineer. Received medals for sharpshooter. Ed enjoyed all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and shooting. Ed was a mentor, who taught many about the safety, responsibility and the history of firearms. He spent many hours at the range or reloading in his workshop.
Ed is survived by his wife of 38 years Angela Pitt of Paonia: daughter Kayla Rouse and husband Corey of Cedaredge: Edward Pitt Jr wife Deana of Grand Junction: grandchildren Jaycee, Kendal and Eli: mother Shirley Pitt of Paonia: sister Yvonne Hinton husband Mike of Paonia: brother Kenneth Pitt wife Susan of Paonia: Daniel Pitt of Lyman, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John Edward Pitt: sister Joyce Pitt: grandparents Edward and Beluah Edwards and Vincent and Velma Pitt.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday February 23, 2026, at that American Legion in Paonia, Colorado from 1pm to 4pm.
