Edward E. M. Pray, of the Town of Shelby, NY, entered into rest peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Buffalo VA Medical Center.
Born February 7, 1933 in Rochester, Ed was a son of the late Eva M. (Morley) and Eugene E. Pray. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 as a gunner’s mate. On March 14, 1955 he married the former Rosemary Fuller and together the couple made their home in Medina. That same year, he also started working at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, where he worked until retiring in 1989. Ed enjoyed traveling, camping and sitting around a campfire telling stories. He was a longtime active member of the Shelby Volunteer Fire Company and was very involved in his younger years. When someone needed help, he and his side kicks were there to pitch in. He and Rosemary were always up for having a cup of coffee and a visit, which may have included a card game and desserts. Following Rosemary’s passing, Ed lived the last four years at his niece Shelly’s home in Waterport. He is now reunited with his beloved Rose.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased his beloved wife, Rosemary in 2021; siblings, Roberta “Robin” Seager, Morley “Bud” Pray and Victor Pray; brothers and sisters in-law, Roger, Glenn (Vera), Norman (Lou) Fuller, James, Jaydee, Gordon (Cheri) Fuller, Thomas (Jeanne) Fuller, Charles (Shirley) Fuller, Louretta Anderson, Mildred, Catherine, Barbara Fuller, Charles Wilson and Alroy Fuller.
Survivors include three siblings, Carol Petruso of Scottsdale, Arizona, Beverly Scalzo and Pat Gilford both of Brockport; sisters-in-law, Cecelia Wilson and Gail Fuller; brother in-law, John Fuller; and many cherished nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
