Edward Glen "Eddie" Range, age 59, of Alderson, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the White Sulphur Springs Center with his family at his side. He was born May 6, 1962 in Livermore, CA, a son of the late Robert Browning and Shirley Ann (Still) Range.
Eddie was a fixture of the Alderson community. He loved devoting his time to the Alderson Volunteer Fire Department, where he was deeply respected. Eddie always had a smile on his face, watching and speaking to everyone as they passed the intersection of the Alderson Memorial Bridge. He enjoyed playing his PlayStation and watching television, especially The Dukes of Hazzard. Eddie was a devout member of the River of Life Church of God, where he enjoyed singing and fellowship.
He loved to spend time with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his cousins, Milton and Martha Black.
Eddie is survived by his sister, Anne Marie Richardson, of Raleigh, NC; his uncle, Jack Still and his wife Polly, of Alderson; his niece, Ashley Simmons and her husband Ben, of Raleigh, NC; his nephew, Zachary Richardson, of Salem, VA; as well as his loving cousins, Ray & Gina Still, and Rick, Jaime, & Bo Bowyer all of Alderson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the River of Life Church of God in Alderson, with Pastor Anthony Carter. Burial will follow at the Alderson-Fletcher Cemetery in Alderson. Friends may attend on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lobban Funeral Home in Alderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be the members of the Alderson Volunteer Fire Department and EMS.
