Edward Rosiak Obituary

Edward Joseph Rosiak, born on September 20, 1950, in Wilmington, Delaware, was sent to his eternal home on September 24, 2025, in Laurel, MD, after suffering a long illness. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife of over 45 years, Bonnie Rosiak. He was the oldest beloved son of his predeceased parents, Edward and Dolores Rosiak. He is survived by his two sisters, Linda Murphy, Nancy Biddle, brother-in-laws Patrick Murphy and James Biddle and Louie Dabbondanza and sister-in-law Vicki Dabbondanza.

Ed or Eddy (as affectionately called by his mother), was a loving husband and his passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. He loved participating in family picnics, holiday celebrations, birthday events and other special events with family and friends. He also loved attending or watching football and baseball games. Being from Delaware, his favorite teams were the Phillies and the Eagles. He found simply pleasure in taking long walks down trails and at the beach with his wife. As well as finding pleasure working in the yard, while stopping to talk to neighbors or going to a crab feast with friends or family. In his younger days, he enjoyed traveling along the east coast to polka dances with family or friends, meeting his wife at a polka dance in Wildwood, NJ. He loved all kinds of music, but he particularly loved going to southern gospel concerts in PA, MD, and VA to see his favorite gospel quartet.

After graduating from the University of Delaware and serving in the Army Reserve, he initially worked in retail. Later, he worked for over 25 years at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. There, he and his Material Management team helped to ensure the hospital had the medical supplies and equipment in the right quantity, so they could be available at the right place and time to support the nurses and doctors in giving the best possible care to patients.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family, friends and neighbors who were there lending a helping hand or providing an ear during Ed's long illness. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Gilchrist Hospice that provided guidance and care allowing ed a peaceful passing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Gilchrist Hospice at https://gilchristcares.org/giving/.

A memorial gathering for Ed's remembrance will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029, on Saturday, October 18 from 1pm – 4pm.
