Elaine Theresa Rosiak, age 82, of Smyrna, DE passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 5, 2024. Born in Wilmington, Elaine was the daughter of the late Lena (Markanych) and Stanley Truszcienski. Elaine graduated from St. Hedwig's Parochial School, Conrad High School, and Goldey Beacom College. Elaine began her career at J.E. Rhodes as a secretary, eventually retiring as a sales representative after over 30 years of service. Elaine enjoyed traveling, visiting Cancun many times over the years with her husband, Robert. She also enjoyed camping, visiting campsites across New York, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania with her family. Elaine loved rollerskating and enjoyed watching iceskating on TV, as well as Law and Order and Heartland. Elaine was full of life and had a bright personality. She was adored by all of her friends and was happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those closest to her.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her daughter, Constance Marie Rosiak; and her brother, Stanley Truszcienski. Elaine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert C. Rosiak; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Mary Rosiak; her daughter, Diane Marion; and her grandchildren, Ryan Rosiak, Allie and Andrew Marion.
A visitation will be held on Monday November 11th, 2024 from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 12 P.M at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
