Edward Roxbury Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Edison since 1958. He served in the Air Force for 7 years. He worked as a mechanic for Edison Township public works for 30 years.
Prior to his retirement, he loved fishing and hunting and his wife Dorothy's awesome homemade meals, along with a pizza and a beer from time to time.
Edward was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Ann in 2022. Edward was married to Dorothy for 69 years.
Surviving are his five children Jeffrey Roxbury and his wife Susan, Edward Roxbury and his wife Kim, Joseph Roxbury and his wife Barbara, Annmarie Sporman and her husband Brian, and Richard Roxbury and his wife Peggy; his Eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one step granddaughter, and 2 step great grandchildren.
Edward was one of a kind with his quirky sense of humor. He loved his family and will be deeply be missed by all.
The visitation will be Tuesday, September 23,2025, at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Meutchen, from 10:30AM to 11:30AM. A prayer service will begin at 11:30AM. The interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery of Metuchen.
