Edward Shaw Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 8 to Sep. 9, 2021.
Edward "Buck" Blake Shaw, Sr. 81 of Orange City, Florida went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Born in DeLand, FL to Robert Sr. and Irene B. Shaw. He married his loving wife, Judy, in October, 1959. Buck was the 11th of 13 children, with 3 siblings remaining, sisters, Katie Kay and Diana Nees both of Indiana and brother, Don (Terri) Shaw of DeLand, FL. Buck and Judy have 5 children Kimberly (Tim) Black of Orange City; Marilyn (Gary) Clegg of Mt. Airy, GA; Carolyn (Ken) Brooksher of Cornelia, GA; Edward "Blake", Jr. (Ashley) Shaw of DeLand, FL and the 'favorite" Jennifer Peterson of Pierson, FL. 12 grandchildren, Audrey (Jeff) Jones; A.J. (Alli) Black; Derek (Ashley) Ball; Stephen (Haley) DeHut; Nicholas (Christa) DeHut; Klein Shaw; Nathan DeHut; Ariana Morgana; Chance Shaw; Dustin Peterson; Kalea Brooksher; Rebecca Peterson and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a charter member of Open Bible Baptist Church. He loved to share and teach the word of God, and the importance of family. He had many "favorite" Hymns. He loved having family get togethers, a good joke and telling them. He loved and respected his Wife of 61 years, he loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the extras they brought into his loving home. He was a numismatist and machirologist; he loved to share his treasured finds with everyone. He also loved fishing too. He was our rock on solid ground.

Celebration of Buck's life will be held September 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Open Bible Baptist Church, Orange City, FL. At the request of the family, wearing of protective masks will be required and no fellowship meal will follow, as we try to prevent anyone from getting ill.
