Robert Hal Shaw, DC, 94 of Beardstown, died Sunday, November 9, 2025 at his home. He was born May 28, 1931 in Centralia, the son of Anderson Armstrong and Ruby Lucille Garner Shaw.
He is survived by his daughter Cathy Snow (husband Rob) of Pittsfield; three grandchildren Jenna Zoller (husband Clint) of Quincy, Hannah Snow of Austin, TX, and Andrew Snow of Pittsfield, IL; two great grandchildren Brody and Kinley Zoller of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Shirley Ann Myers.
Robert graduated from White Hall High School and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he attended Logan University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He ran a practice in Jacksonville until his retirement in 1993. Robert enjoyed working with tools, building things, and tinkering. He often spent time browsing at Menards and JCPenney, usually just looking around.
Cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will be held. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is assisting the family.
