Edward R. Sikora

Edward R. Sikora, age 74, a resident of Spring Grove, IL passed away on September 24, 2025 at Northwestern Hospital in McHenry, IL. Ed was born on June 2, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Rose and Louis Sikora.

Ed was a proud three-sport athlete in his youth and carried that competitive spirit throughout his life. He was a single father for many years, always providing love, strength, and humor for his family. A lifelong fan of bowling, horse racing, and all things sports, he especially loved cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears — always ‘DA BEARS!’ Above all, he will be remembered for his resilience, his love for family, and his passion for the games that brought him joy.

Edward is survived by his children, Nicole (Daniel) Duron of Ingleside, IL and Edward (David) Sikora, Jr. of Nevada; his grandchildren, Kaleb Sikora, Zachary Sikora, Marshall Griffin, Jordan Griffin, Katia Duron, Ofelia Duron, and Daniel Duron III; his siblings, Louis (Daintri) Sikora of Spring Grove, IL, Toni Dalessandro of Chicago, IL, Rosie (Steve) Mikosz of Arizona, and Ron (Carrie) Sikora of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra L. Sikora; brothers, Bruce and Peter Sikora; sister, Margaret “Lala” Kujawa; and his parents.
