Edward C. Tapper, 82, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on June 30, 2024.
Ed grew up in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959 where he was a competitive gymnast. He was an accomplished bow hunter and would travel throughout the country on many hunting trips with friends. Ed lost his arm in a motorcycle accident in 1977 and after recovery continued to work as a Union Glazier for many years before retiring. After retirement you could find Ed at the former Fletchers Corner in Cape May Courthouse, NJ, where he enjoyed bow target shooting and drew a crowd during tournaments as the only one-armed man in competition. He would also spend his Sundays going to drag races at the former Atco Raceway with his brother Tom.
Ed is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Tapper, brother Tom Tapper and his son Jason M. Tapper, Sr. He is survived by his grandchildren Jason M. Tapper, Jr and Elle C. Tapper and daughter Dana Wallace (Bob). He is also survived by his niece Karen Fogel (Jeremy) and nephew Brian Tapper (Jen).
