Edward Teta Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Perry Funeral Home, Inc. on Aug. 26, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Edward J. Teta was born and raised in Inwood, the son of Fred and Rose, and lovingly raised by his grandmother, Jenny. He was a proud New Yorker through and through - a man who lived his life with heart, humor, and deep devotion to his family.

Ed was the love of Victoria's life from the moment they met in high school. They were married for 50 years and shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they raised two children, Brian and Allison, and welcomed their spouses, Heather and Benny, into the family with open arms.

Nothing brought Ed more joy than being a grandfather to Grace, Lily, and Olivia. His granddaughters were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. They loved their "Grumpa" as much as he loved them.

Ed had many passions. He loved singing, baseball, and cooking - and was known far and wide for his legendary homemade pizza. He enjoyed a good glass of Scotch, a fine cigar, and a round of golf with friends. He had a great sense of humor, a kind and generous spirit, and a special way of making everyone around him feel at ease. He also had strong opinions and never shied away from sharing them - especially when it came to food. He could name every worthwhile pizzeria in a 50 mile radius and let you know exactly where (and where not) to eat.

He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. Ed's warmth, laughter, and love for his family will be remembered always.
