Edward Leonard Trask, II, age 100 passed away on July 29, 2025. he formally resided in the Kaisertown section of Buffalo NY - which he always considered his home. The son of the late Edward Leonard Trask and the late Irene (nee Kubiak) Trask. "Leo", as he was known to most proudly served his country in the Army for four tours of duty. He loved the American Flag, and every article of clothing had an American Flag pin. Whether proudly displaying the flag at his home, a bumper sticker, a tee shirt with the American Flag or dozens of magnets the display of the American Flag was always present. He retired from General Motors after decades of loyal service and at the age of 70 went to barber school and eventually became a Master Barber. When his family asked, " Why a barber and why now", his response was "people with hair will need it cut." His skills soon became popular amongst his family and friends, and his basement was always open, the coffee was on and a cold beer in the fridge and the conversation plentiful. His nephew Neal remembers stopping in for a haircut and there was about six of his buddies waiting. "Uncle Leo told me I needed to make an appointment" His is predeceased by his wife - his "bride of 63 years", Helen A. (nee Wiatkowski). His only child Roger W. Trask and survived by his daughter-in-law Kathleen A. Trask of CA and two grandsons; Phillip (Jennifer) Trask and Leonard "Leo" Trask and 5 great and 7 great -great grandchildren. Leo is predeceased by his siblings; Rose (late Stuart) Knope, Dorothy (late William) Cappello, Daniel (survived by Henrietta) Trask and Frankie (late Virginia) Trask. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews survive. In accordance with Leo's wishes, there will be no formal services scheduled. The family will celebrate his life privately.
