To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Edward S. Watts was born December 25, 1959, in Wadley, Alabama to Henry C. and Geneva (Houston) Watts, the second youngest of eleven boys. Edward passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 62 after a long illness in his home in the arms of his loving and devoted wife, Jeanette.
He was preceded in the death by both parents, brothers Charlie, Earnest, Toney, Leon and Adrian Watts and son Domonick Watts.
Teeny, as he was affectionately called, moved with his family to Toledo, Ohio in 1968 and attended Toledo Public Schools and graduated from Libbey High School in 1979. He later became certified in Industrial Maintenance and would use his education and skills to become a lifelong master craftsman. Teeny's expertise allowed him to become self-employed and gave him the knowledge to know how to fix any and everything in a home. His work can be seen in apartment complexes and homes throughout the city of Toledo to this day.
Teeny married the love of his life, Jeanette Martin on May 5, 2006 and they began their journey together creating memories amongst themselves and family.
Teeny was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2005.
He leaves to cherish his memories, loving and devoted wife of 16 years; Jeanette Martin of Toledo, Ohio, 5 children; Therza and Tiffany Cox, Jesse Gaines, Jeremy (Silvia) Watts, Darnisha (Marcus) Hill, 13 grandchildren; Jamarion Gaines, Ireese Gaines, Jaleel Gaines, Jay Gaines, Jada Gaines, Elijah Gaines, Janiya Watts, Jeremy Watts, Jr., Julius Watts, Julian Watts, Trinity Hill, Kendall Hill and Semira Hill, 5 brother; Willie R. Praying for comfort and healing for you and your family as you greive the loss of your loved one, just know that he that has all power in his hands is there for you. All you have to do is call on the name of Jesus and he will answer.

I will miss Teeney´s presence when going to visit him and my sister. He is no longer in pain. God will give you peace that will pass your own human understanding and laughter for your tears. Prayer will be your best friend during this time; hold on to it and don´t let it go.
