Edward Joseph Zwolensky

Edward Zwolensky, 81, of Bridgeport, WV, and formerly of Moundsville, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. He was born in Braddock, PA, on February 1, 1944, a son of the late John A. and Veronica F. (Petrosky) Zwolensky.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Gatts) Zwolensky, whom he married June 6, 1970.

Also surviving are his son, Brett Zwolensky and his wife Cindy; his grandson, Logan Zwolensky, all of Bridgeport; his brother, Rick Zwolensky, of Calabash, NC; sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Joseph Zwolensky and Anthony "Tony" Zwolensky.

Ed served in the US Navy from July 1966 to February 1968. He retired in August 2006 after 28 years of service from Nationwide Insurance. He loved to golf, and he served as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Moundsville Country Club; and was a member of Wood Hill United Methodist Church in Moundsville, WV.

Honoring his request, no services will be held.
