He was born on January 11, 1954 in Wheeling, son of the late Edwin A. and Rose Lee (Vanaman) Gantzer.
Bud graduated from Wheeling Central, was a catholic and member of St. Vincent De Paul Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Diana Steger and Linda Spry.
He is survived by his brother, Scott (Dru) Gantzer of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces, Cindie Steger-Heit of Rowlett, TX, Dena (Scot) Patt of Shadyside, OH, great-nieces and nephews, Rico (Sierra) Ripoly, Lauryn Patt, Tyler Patt, and Trey Heit.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, (304-242-2311) where services will be held on Saturday February 24, 2024 at 11 am with Father Praveen Mallela officiating.
