Edwin Walter Higgs, 61, passed away on July 16, 2025 in League City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 10am, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell, officiating.
Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Edwin was born in Malden, Massachusetts to Jeanne Stetson and Earl Higgs, Jr. on March 5, 1964.
He went to school at Odessa and Socorro. He married Laura Chapin on April 10, 1982.
He graduated from Aerotech. He worked as an aircraft maintenance technician for Delta Airlines.
He was involved in coaching and playing softball, sharing his ministry with others, and was a devout Christian.
Edwin is preceded in death by his sister Julie, brother EP, parents Jeanne and Earl Jr, and grandparents Earl Sr and Faye Higgs .
Edwin is survived by his other half, Laura Chapin (they were not married but loved each other deeply). His daughters and their spouses Mary and Kiel Meier and Rebecca and Ryan Talley. He had four grandchildren, Libi, Madeline, Coraline, and Levi.
