Edwin John Lais was born December 18,1958 and died September 27, 2024 in Woodburn, Oregon. He was born to Frank and Wanona (Conrad) Lais in Oregon City, Oregon and was the tenth child of eleven children.
Edwin was raised on the family farm in Hubbard, Oregon and moved to another family farm south of Canby, Oregon in 1968. He attended Canby schools and loved to read.
Edwin married Dion Proudfoot in 1990. They had a son, Dylan, in 1991. They were divorced in 1994.
He is survived by his son, Dylan Lais of Westfir, Oregon. He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Shirley (Lloyd) Martin, Canby Oregon, Susan (Gene) Boshart, Albany, Oregon, Carol (Dennis) Kauffman, Aumsville, Oregon. Ray Lais, Rufus, Oregon, Janice Lais, Hubbard, Oregon, Larry Lais, The Dallas, Oregon and Eileen (Roger) Springer, Minier, Illinois. He was preceded in death by His parents, Frank and Wanona (Conrad) Lais, sister Sharon & Dale Moyer, Brother Kenneth Lais and sister Rachel Lais.
