Edwin Marquez Obituary
Edwin Marquez, 71, a longtime resident of Mountainair, NM, passed away December 17, 2022, in Mountainair, NM. Edwin was born December 16, 1951 to Eddie and Onecima (Saiz) Marquez in Albuquerque, NM. Edwin is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Eddie Marquez Jr.
He is survived by three sisters; Delia Ernestine Ferguson and her husband Earl of Mountainair, NM, Anna Isabel Marquez of Roswell, NM, and Mary Ester and her husband Dan Romero of Moriarty, NM. And one Sister-in-law Rosemary Marquez of Las Cruces, NM.
Edwin will be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by them all.
A funeral rosary and mass will be celebrated Saturday December 31, 2022 at the Saint Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM Rosary at 10:00 am and Mass at 11:00 am with Father Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountainair Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Rubi, Patricio Ortiz, Seferino Reynaga, Cristobal Reynaga, Rafael Reynaga, and Ruben Marquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Aguilar, Marcos Romero, Rick Padilla, and Aaron Joshua Marquez. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.
