Edwin Paul ""Fast Eddie"" Monks

May 27, 1949 ˜ December 31, 2025

Edwin Paul Monks (“Fast Eddie”) was born May 27, 1949, in Portland, Oregon, and passed away December 31, 2025, in Vancouver, Washington, at the age of 76.
He is survived by his son Ryan, daughter Chelsea, their families-six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Ed also leaves behind many dear friends who were family to him. A special thank you to Dale, Starla, and Diane for all your kindness and friendship you gave to our father in his final years.
Ed grew up in Portland, where he loved cars, played baseball, and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He had a warm heart, a great smile, and was known as a jokester, the true “life of the party.” He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time on his boat with family and friends.
Ed also loved gardening, flowers, music, singing, and dancing. Ed would often impersonate Elvis, Fleetwood Mac, and George Thorogood.
Later in life, Ed met Katherine Bentley, he called her ’the love of his life’. They shared over 20 years together making cherished memories until her passing in 2020.
