Edwin Lynn Stamper, a cherished member of his community, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Hazard, Kentucky. Born on January 2, 1959, in Hazard, he dedicated 38 years of his life as a Customer Engineer for Canon, where he was known for his friendly demeanor, outgoing personality, and unwavering willingness to help others.
Edwin's early education culminated in an Associate's degree, which laid the foundation for a rewarding career steeped in technology and customer service. His expertise in electronics repair allowed him to excel in his profession, where he made numerous friends and touched many lives along the way.
Outside of work, Edwin was passionate about various hobbies that brought him joy. He loved listening to music, traveling, swimming, and enjoyed the thrill of baseball. Above all, he valued spending quality time with family, a testament to the importance of relationships in his life.
Edwin is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lisa Rice Stamper whom he married on May 15, 1982; his son, Kevin Lynn Stamper (Leandra Martin); his brothers, Robert Stamper and Steven Stamper (Michelle Mullins); sisters-in-law, Deanna Adams (Lonnie) and Lien Turner (Harold); as well as his special niece, Jennifer Caldwell; special nephew, Byron Cody Adams; and special great niece, Jenna Raye Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Dorothy Davidson Stamper; his brother, Paul David Stamper; his sister, Pam Stamper; his niece, Kayla Riddle; and his mother and father-in-law, Kelly and Vanda Rice.
Edwin Lynn Stamper will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the countless lives he touched, leaving behind a legacy of warm memories and profound impact on the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation will be held in his memory on November 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Polls Creek Church of Christ. A funeral service will take place the following day, November 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location.
