Edyth Coffey was born March 28, 1943, in Green County, KY to the late Frank and Lura Akin Turner. She departed this life Friday, October 24. 2025, at her home, having attained the age of eighty-two years, six months and twenty-seven days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed walking, sitting and talking with friends cooking and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and family. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Tom, Joe, Jim and Mary Francis Turner
She is survived by her husband Willard Oz Coffey, two sons: Tim Coffey of Mercer Island, Washington, Michael Coffey of Starkville, Mississippi, one daughter: Anne Yetter of Mesa, Arizona, two grandchildren: Macy and Kate Yetter, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Edyth Turner Coffey will be 10 am Central Time Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Brenson Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery in the Ebenezer Community of Green County.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Central Time Monday, October 27, 2025 and after 7 a.m. Central Time Tuesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Pallbearers: Scott Humphrey, Larry Ennis, Eugene “Pee Wee” Coffey, Greg “Hoss” Coffey, Rod Moore, James Turner, Greg Laramore, Billy Joe Lowe
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research. These can be made at the funeral home.
