Edythe J. Daly, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1937.
She grew up in Union City, NJ and attended Union Hill High School. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated with a Nursing degree. It was there she met her future husband Raymond J. Daly. They were married in October, 1960 and soon after moved to Leonardo, NJ with their sons. They moved to Cocoa Beach Florida to take part in the Space Shuttle Program and continued to raise their three sons. They eventually moved back to Navesink, NJ.
Edythe was an active member of the Atlantic Highlands United Methodist Church volunteering on many committees. She was also a long-time member of Connors Beach Club in Highlands, NJ along with many friends and family members.
Edythe was predeceased by her loving husband in 2010. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an especially loving and attentive grandmother and enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
She is survived by her sons, Scott (Christine), Thomas (Michele) and Keith (Laura); six grandchildren, Connor, Catherine, Ryan, Clare, Bryan, and Gavin and her dear cousin Mark (Cathy).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12 from 4:00-7:00 at Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township NJ 07755. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakhurst United Methodist Church, 103 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township NJ 07755. Interment to follow George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
