Edythe June Harkrader, 86, entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. Born to John and May Foster on June 9, 1937, in Walters, OK, June's life was a tapestry of skill, love, and devotion. A skilled seamstress, June was known for her craftsmanship in making clothes for her daughters and creating unique suede purses and vests. She also loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. June found joy in gardening, with her husband, and preserving the bounty through canning. She also enjoyed working on the ranch, alongside her husband and two daughters. June's life reflected her dedication to family and the values she held dear. Her warm spirit and love for Jesus Christ shone through, leaving a lasting impact on her children and grandchildren. June shared the message of faith, reminding others of the significance of her Savior in her life.
June was united in marriage to Dale Lee Harkrader, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Kim Gadberry and husband Brad of Joplin, MO, and Regina Richardson and husband Randy of Bentonville, AR. June also played a significant role in the lives of Gary Harkrader and Gale Harkrader Folsland, who also survive. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jennifer Gibbens and Julie of Fayetteville, AR; Ashley Smith and husband Nick of Joplin, MO; Lacey Tidwell and husband Joe of Centerton, AR; and Aubrey Johnson and husband Kyle of Bentonville, AR. Additionally, June is survived by her great-grandchildren: Parker Duckett, Christian, Skylar, Eli, and Owen Smith, Riley Richardson, Drake and Drayden Tidwell, and Jaiden and Journey Johnson. She is also survived by two sisters, Alice Hayes and Carol Epperson and many extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and May Foster, and her brothers, Leroy, Charles, Bob, Alva, and Kenny Foster.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Diamond Cemetery. Sandy Atnip and Jill Noble will officiate, and pallbearers will be Kyle Johnson, Joe Tidwell, Drake Tidwell, Drayden Tidwell, and Randy Richardson.
May June's soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy of love and faith continue to inspire those who knew her.
