Effie Markel Obituary
Effie M. Markel, 100, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 7, 2023. She was born on January 17, 1923 in South Point, OH to the late John and Lillie Johnson. Effie was a Nurses Aid for Vinewood Nursing Home retiring in 1985. She enjoyed shopping in free free time. Effie loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Markel; son, Michael Banker and several siblings. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Gary) Love; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
