Efrain Arizpe

Visitation for Efrain Arizpe, 74, will be Friday, September 26 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 7:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Efrain was born August 15, 1951 to the late Victor and Maria Arizpe in Mission, Texas, and he peacefully passed away, comforted by his loving family, September 16, 2025.

Efrain had a lifelong passion for classic Jaguar cars, admiring their style and craftsmanship with the same care he put into every part of his life. As much as he appreciated the beauty of a fine car, nothing compared to the love he held for his family.

Efrain grew up in Mission, Texas. He taught for six years in Edcouch-Elsa, Texas. In the summers he taught summer school for migrant workers' children in Wisconsin. This is where he met the love of his life, Judy. They were married in Stevens Point, WI in 1980 and moved to Schaumburg, IL where they both taught Spanish at Frost and Keller Junior High for 35 years.

Efrain loved to play golf, collect 1980s Jaguar cars, spend winters in Florida, garden and visit family.

Loving husband of Judy for 45 years; beloved father of Heather. He is survived by his brother Homero Arizpe, Victor Arizpe (Norma) and his sister, Rosa Gonzales (Manuel). He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Maria Luisa Arizpe, his sister-in law, Belen Arizpe and his sister, Margot Arizpe.
