A Resident of Schaumburg for 44 years

Formerly of Roselle

Visitation for Thomas E. Jakubosky, 91, will be held Wednesday, September 10 from 2:00-8:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11 beginning with prayers at 9:30am at the funeral home proceeding to 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory of Nyssa Parish-St. Marcelline Church, Schaumburg. Interment will follow next to his loving wife at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Born January 14, 1934 in Chicago to John and Eileen (nee Walsh) he passed away peacefully September 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Thomas had a true servant's heart and devoted himself to his family, who meant the world to him. He was a hardworking tile setter and proud member of the Ceramic Tile Layers & Terrazzo Workers Union Local 21. A passionate football fan, Thomas especially loved cheering for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was the adoring husband of 66 years to the late Effie (nee Sullivan); loving father of Tom (Diane Szewczyk), Jim (Leslie), Mike (Julie), the late Johnny, Mary (Dan) Zieschang and Patty (James Lewis); fond grandfather of Jennifer, Eric, James, Jake, Michael, Matthew, Danny, Kailey, Krystal, Tommy, Sarah and Dominique; beloved great grandfather of 7 and dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
