Mrs. Auel was a patient where I work for many years. She was one of our favorites and the kindest individuals I've come across in a while. One day she showed up on her nonappointment day to tell me she saw me on TV talking about the nonprofit my son I work for. She said she was so moved by the cause and wanted to write a check b/c she had been looking for something to give to and she deeply had a love for the arts. My last conversation with her was about two weeks ago when she called to say she was in the hospital and told me of her diagnosis. I was stunned because she sounds like the same Mrs. Auel I meet six years ago. Sweet, not complaining, and very it is what it is attitude. We talked a little bit and instead of her harping on her illness she was asking about the well-being of everyone in the office. This was the woman U knew and will remember forever. From everyone at Paramount Podiatry and on behalf of Hunter Memorial Mural, we send our sincere condoles and thoughts to Mrs. Auel's family. A beautiful soul.
