Eileen M. Bleidorn, age 68, a resident of Oswego, IL and formerly of Lombard and
Villa Park, IL, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. She was born on
September 22, 1956 in Elmhurst, IL.
Eileen is survived by her loving children, Phillip (Cari) Carlton of Plainfield, Karie
Spencer of Lombard, Kelie (Stephen) Zeller of Missouri, Kathryn (Richard) Oster
of Plainfield; her cherished grandchildren, Phillip Carlton, Jr., Morgan Carlton,
Maeve Carlton, Addie Oster, Sam Oster, Ben (Shelby) Zeller, Abbi Zeller, and
Daniel Zeller and great-grandchildren, Lillian and Sunni Zeller; her dear siblings,
Renie, Nancy, Mariann, Louise, Greg, Gilbert, and Brian; as well as numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marie Bleidorn; her siblings,
Frankie, Katherine, Mark and Bob; her longtime partner, Albert Reinschmidt; and
her former husband, Allen Carlton.
Biography: Eileen possessed a strong, vibrant and fun-loving personality;
characteristics formed while growing up in a household with 11 siblings. She
learned early on to speak up and stick up for herself, and she carried this trait
throughout her life. As a result, she was remarkably candid with everyone. That
candor, along with her sharp mind, quick wit, great sense of humor and
incalculable common sense carried Eileen through the joys and challenges of life
with strength, resilience, courage and humor.
Her greatest love and devotion were for her children and grandchildren who
brought her the greatest joy. It was in the day to day caring and nurturing she
shared with them that her family experienced the depth of her unfailing love. And
she treasured every day with them.
Eileen was an accomplished seamstress, knitter and quilter. Friends and family
alike were the recipients of her wonderful talents, from blankets and sweaters to
quilts and stuffed animals, to Halloween costumes for the grandkids. It was not
uncommon for Eileen to present a gift to someone simply because she'd crafted
something she felt they would appreciate. Her joy was in giving and in the delight
of those who received them.
Professionally, Eileen worked for the First National Bank of Elmhurst as a branch
manager, followed by fifteen years as the Accounting Coordinator for EZ Links
Golf.
Her long marriage to Allen brought them four children and a shared life filled with
both hard work and hours of fun with a strong circle of friends who will miss her
deeply. Some of Eileen's happiest years also came later with her beloved partner,
Albert. Together they enjoyed traveling the world, attending music concerts, and
their beloved dogs Quigley, Branna and Willow.
Eileen's family and friends will forever remember, and be grateful for, her presence
in our lives, and her unwavering love, loyalty and friendship. Her legacy will live
on her children and grandchildren, and in the cherished memories treasured by so
many.
