Eileen M. Ela

Eileen M. Ela peacefully passed away on the 2nd of August 2025, at the age of 80. Born on September 11, 1944, in Pennsylvania, Eileen's life was marked by her faith, friendliness, and spirit that touched all who knew her.

Eileen's legacy is one of enduring love and a family founded on deep-rooted values and compassion. As the cherished wife of Renato "Ray" R. Ela for over half a century, Eileen's commitment to her partner was a testament to their unwavering bond. She lovingly raised her children, Christine, alongside her husband Michael, and Jeffrey, alongside his wife Ellie and her grandson Chase, instilling in them the importance of kindness and understanding.

In addition to her immediate family, Eileen's brothers, Robert and Richard Godfrey, and the memory of her late brother William, were an integral part of her life. Her passing is a poignant reminder of the connections that span a lifetime, the shared history, and the mutual support that characterizes a close-knit family.

Professionally, Eileen served with dedication as a medical secretary at Good Samaritan and Union Memorial Hospital. Outside of her professional and family commitments, Eileen found joy on the dance floor, swaying and stepping to the rhythm of Doo-Wop music.

Eileen M. Ela's story does not end with her passing but continues through the lives of those she has influenced, the memories cherished, and the gentle acts of kindness that ripple out into the world. Her essence, a blend of compassion, strength, and fellowship, remains a guiding light for her loved ones, ensuring that her spirit will forever dance in the hearts of those she has left behind.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Eileen's life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home -8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234, for a visitation on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A prayer service will be held on Friday, 11am at Evans. Interment to conclude all services at Gardens of Faith Memorial Park.
