Abeba Ela

Abeba Natnael Ela was born on December 24, 1933, to father, Natnael and mother, Okbit in Ashoshi, Eritrea. Minase Fafi and Abba Ela married in Barentu, Eritrea, in 1950's, and lived together until Mr. Minase passed away in 2000. In 2010, Mrs. Ela came to the USA, where she resided until her passing on August 16, 2023. Mrs. Ela was a caring mother and loved God. She served the Lord up until her last breath.
Mrs. Ela is preceded in death by her father, Natnael, mother, Okbit, husband, Minase, son, Muse, and daughter, Sara.
Abeba Natnael Ela, age 89, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on August 15, 2023, after a long battle with kidney failure. Mrs. Ela passed away peacefully at home with her beloved daughter, Hanna and grandson, John at her side. Late that night, the clouds lifted and Aurora Borealis ushered her to Heaven.
She is survived by her sister, Mayte Fafi, daughter, Hanna Fafi, sons, David Fafi and Yosef Minase, grandchildren, Yordanos, Adhanet, Feben, Elega, Senait, John, Abo, Merhawi and Barkat and many other family members here in America and back home.
In her memory a service will be held at Arlington United Methodist on Saturday, August 19th 2023 from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM with interment following at 1:30 at Christ Church Cemetery.
