Eileen Ann Marie O'Beirne was born on July 9, 1956 in Yorkville, NYC. She was the first born of Patrick O'Beirne, a native of County Roscommon, Ireland and Eileen O'Brien, a Kerry woman. A little more than a year later, Eileen was joined by her brother Gerard (Gerry) and a little more than a year after that, her brother Stephen. Realizing raising Irish triplets in the one-bedroom apartment on 83rd Street would be a challenge, the O'Beirnes moved to a luxurious two-bedroom suite on Ryer Avenue in the Bronx. Eileen attended Saint Simon Stock grammar School and Saint Catherine's Academy High School. She obtained degrees from Hunter College and Fordham University. She would spend the next 40 years teaching and would be eternally grateful for the upbringing she had, the education she received, and the people she met along the way.
In September 1975, Eileen met her soul mate, Bronx native Ronald Laskorski. Their love and respect for one another was profound and they would remain together for nearly 50 years, until her tragic death on July 23, 2025. Eileen was an extremely intelligent woman, a prolific reader and a lover of theatre and classic movies. A lifelong Yankee fan, she was extremely proud of her Bronx Irish Catholic heritage. She was the perfect mix of her parents: witty, fiery hard working and compassionate. You can decide for yourselves which counties those qualities are attributable to. Most of all, Eileen loved to laugh and reminisce with her family and friends. Her smile, inquisitiveness, sense of humor and love of life left an impression on everyone she met.
Eileen is survived by her husband Ron; her brothers Gerry (Anne) and Stephen (Susan); her sister-in law Donna (Jerry), brother-in-law Steve (Patti); nieces and nephews Jerry (Tamika), Janine (Ryan), Paul, Matthew (Laura), Jenna, Jill, Julie, Leah, Justin and Courtney; grand-nieces/ -nephews JR, Alexis, Sean, Hailey and Joseph; and scores of beautiful cousins both here and abroad.
Reposing Monday, July 28th from 4 - 8 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 29th at 10:30 am at St. Gabriel's Church, 3250 Arlington Avenue, Bronx, NY 10463. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
For those interested, Gerry O'Beirne has asked that in place of flowers, donations be made to in loving memory of his sister, Eileen Ann Marie O'Beirne.

Dear Ron, It is with a heavy heart that I am thinking of you and the loss of a wonderful woman who had to leave us too soon. I am so sorry I cannot be there to honor and memorialize Eileen, and all she has meant to myself and so many. My prayers are with you.
Love, “Nurse Melanie” Alfonso
