Eileen Marie Menting, of Phlox, died on May 15, 2025 at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo. She was 94 years old. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Antigo, a daughter of Reinhardt and Agnes (Walczak) Schisel. She married Roman Menting on August 27, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phlox. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2016.
Eileen was a member of St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society.
She is survived by a son, Duane (Maridel) Menting of Larkspur, CA; two daughters, Julie (Richard) McClain of Villa Hills, KY and Karen (Andrew) Duff of Antigo; nine grandchildren, Molly Donahue, Joseph Donahue, Sarah Duff, Joshua Menting, Jennifer (Jeremy) Schmidt, Jason (Stefanie) Menting, Alexis Menting, Hannah (Sean) Wydeven, and Chris Menting; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Payton and Wesley; a brother, Gene (Karen) Schisel of Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Schisel of Phlox.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Menting and Joe Menting; a sister, Helen (Don) Mosher; and two brothers, Leonard (Mary) Schisel and Harold Schisel.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Phlox on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
