Eileen Palmer-Curran Obituary

Eileen E. (Yarboro) Palmer-Curran, 87, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, of Attleboro, MA passed away on Memorial Day - May 26, 2025, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by members of her loving family. She was the wife of Robert Leroy Curran to whom she was wed on September 15, 2012, and was the wife of the late Robert R. Palmer, Sr. who died on September 15, 2002.

Born in Attleboro, MA on August 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Yarboro and the late Mary (Elves) Yarboro. She was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro where she was a 1955 graduate of Attleboro High School.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper for the Lorusso Corporation in Plainville, MA for 8 years and as a bookkeeper for the City of Attleboro at the Capron Park Gift Shop for 19 years prior to her retirement.

Eileen was a member of the Women of the Moose - Chapter 974 in Attleboro, MA and the American Legion Auxiliary - 312 in South Attleboro, MA.

She will be lovingly remembered for her warm smile and the twinkle in her eye and her unending devotion to her family.

Eileen leaves her son: Robert R. Palmer, Jr. of Attleboro, MA; her grandchildren: Tanya McFadden, Robert Palmer III, Glenn Palmer, Jr., Tracy Palmer, her devoted caregiver, Trena Palmer, Kyle Palmer and Sarah Lynn Palmer; 11 Great grandchildren; her siblings: Joan Duarte and her husband, Ralph Duarte, of Summerfield, Florida; Leroy Yarboro and his wife, Patricia Yarboro, of Attleboro, MA; Byron Yarboro of Tavares, Florida and Brenda Stringham and her husband, Kenneth Stringham, of Attleboro, MA; several nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

She was the mother of the late Glenn C. Palmer who died on September 6, 2019.

Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend Visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

A graveside funeral service to which all are welcome will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the Newell Burying Ground, 1502 West Street, Attleboro, MA with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, MA, officiating. Burial will follow where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and son.

Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Friends of Capron Park Zoo, Attention: Tributes, P.O. Box 821, Attleboro, MA 02703.
