Elaine Joyce Alling passed away peacefully in Hampstead MD on September 13th 2024. Elaine was born February 6th 1946 in North Carolina to Betty Brauner. She was raised in Kettle Falls Washington later met her husband Kenneth James Alling in Spokane Washington while attending college art classes. They were married in 1965 and started their family. She is survived by six children Paula Hurst,Rebecca Alling, Bill Alling, Heather Krogemann, Josh Alling, Jake Alling and her three grandchildren Andrew, Ace, Dash Alling. She dedicated her life to her children always putting their needs above her own, instilling a compassionate nature and giving spirit to all of them. Elaine taught her children to give a helping hand to everyone in need and will be remembered as a nurturing soul who could illuminate hope with her kind comforting words. She and her husband brought much love for arts and crafts into the lives of many. Elaine was very dedicated to scouting and helping teach young scouts crafts and activities for many years. She was a beautifully talented quilter, crafter. and gifted sewer, teaching many novices throughout her years. She was a ravenous reader of all kinds of books, even as her eye sight was going she never stopped reading books. She held her Mormon faith close through her years and is predeceased by her parents Bill and Betty Brauner and her husband Kenneth. She is survived by her brothers Hal and Bruce and sister Marsha Brauner. Elaine will be lovingly remembered as a gentle and tender hearted soul. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
