Elaine J. (Buonomo) Beck

Mrs. Elaine J. (Buonomo) Beck, of Acton, Maine, died at home on Friday, July 7, 2023 following a period of declining health.  She was 79.

Elaine was born in Cambridge on January 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Albert and Annabelle (Clark) Buonomo, and was raised in Waltham.  In November, 1964 she married Peter H. Beck in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church in Waltham and the couple remained lifelong residents before their move to Maine in 2006.

She had worked for a number of years for Printed Circuit Corporation on Elm Street in Waltham and after that as an administrative assistant for Neil E. Tillotson, a noted entrepreneur, inventor and industrialist at his Boston office.

Following her retirement to Maine she became a  member of the board of directors of the  The Mousam Lake Region Association and a member of the Town of Acton budget committee.

In addition to her beloved husband of 58 years, Peter, she leaves her brothers, Henry Buonomo of Falmouth, Albert Buonomo of Medford and David Buonomo of Spring Hill, Florida and many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was also the sister of the late Thomas Buonomo and Rita Kirkness.

Family and friends will honor and remember Elaine’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Wednesday, July 12th from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon followed by her funeral service at noon. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
