Elaine A. Bissonnette
December 15, 1956 – May 22, 2025
Elaine A. Bissonnette left this world unexpectedly on May 22nd, 2025, at the age of 68. She was known for her generous spirit and vibrant social presence. Her ability to lightup any room and make lasting connections with those around her earned her the love and admiration of many.
Elaine was born in Burlington, VT on December 15, 1956, the daughter of Yvonne (Therrien) and Leo A. Bissonnette formerly of Winooski. She was preceded in death by her parents. She attended Winooski Schools and was a waitress for many years.
She welcomed into the world her two children, Justin and Leigha, and was blessed with their families in her life.
Elaine loved to socialize, whether it was playing bingo and visiting casinos, often accompanied by her sisters, where they shared many joyful moments together or being at camp with her family or walking for different health organizations. She loved being around people. Elaine's warm heart and open arms made her a person in her surroundings and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by her extensive circle of family and friends.
Elaine is survived by her son, Justin, wife Talia, her daughter, Leigha, husband Jeremy and her grandchildren, Annabelle, Heyward, Hudson and Leo Bissonnette, Maddox and Gracie McElveen & Noah Denton. She also leaves behind a legacy of love with her siblings – Danny Bissonnette, Linda Belisle, Yvette Gilligan (Gerry), Nancy Kelley (Bruce), David Bissonnette (Darlene), Karen Whitten (Bob), Lynn Bissonnette (Ed Turner), Lisa LaFountain (Mark), Peter Bissonnette (Bridget Gracey), Louise Daigle (Russell) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson Boston, her parents Leo and Yvonne Bissonnette, siblings, Leola Myers, Susan Brocksmith, Gary Bissonnette, in-laws – Gerry, Rosanne, Carl, Armand & Wendy, her godfather Paul Therrien and many aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 29th from 5 – 7 pm at LaVigne Funeral Home, Winooski, VT. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m.
