Obituary of Elaine Irene Boehlert
Mrs. Elaine Irene Boehlert, 84, of N. Utica, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospital in Syracuse.
Elaine was born in Utica, on September 18, 1939, the daughter of William and Irene (Emery) Hall and received her education at Sauquoit High School. On May 23, 1959, Elaine was united in marriage with Robert J. Boehlert, a loving union of more than 61 years, until Robert's death in 2020. For many years, Elaine was employed with Verizon Phone Company. Family was of the utmost importance to Elaine. She found great joy spending time with her cherished grandchildren as well as talking to them on the phone. She was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church in N. Utica.
Mrs. Boehlert is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patty Boehlert and two cherished grandchildren, Melissa Boehlert and Robert Boehlert and his girlfriend, Billie Sun; her next-door neighbor, Jerome Murray, who was always there to help, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Hall.
Visitation for family and friends is Monday March 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest with her beloved Robert in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro at the convenience of the family.
