Elaine M. (Gavin) Cloherty of South Boston passed away on February 26, 2025. Beloved wife of John J. Cloherty. Devoted mother of Robert Lunnin and his wife June of Holliston, Katelynn Lunnin and her partner Nicole Moffatt of Georgetown. Loving grandmother of Emma and Gavin Lunnin. Sister of Janice Gavin Mather and her husband Richard of North Easton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home 146 Dorchester St SOUTH BOSTON on Monday March 3rd from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass in St. Monica Church 331 Old Colony Ave South Boston on Tuesday March 4th at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Elaine was a long member of the South Boston Yacht Club.
