Our beloved Elaine Frances Heinrich, age 87, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 after a long struggle with dementia. She dedicated her life to her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Elaine was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 18, 1938, the only child of Gertrude and James Hardwick. Gertrude died when Elaine was only 14 years old, an event that undoubtedly left an indelible mark on her heart. It is perhaps because of that trauma that Elaine was able to be such a loving maternal presence for all who knew her. She excelled in academics, earning a full ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, but declined the scholarship in favor of other endeavors which resulted in her meeting the man she would later marry, Stanley A. Heinrich. She and Stan married in 1960, later welcoming 3 children to their family, Christopher, Marc and Melissa. They lived in Chicago until they moved to Euless, Texas in 1984.

Elaine was quite talented at sewing and other homemaking activities, and made exquisite draperies for others. She loved animals, and kept parakeets for many years before realizing that she really loved DOGS!

She always enjoyed shopping for landscape treasures (and clothes!) and travel, traveling to Santa Fe around Christmas time with her family and to Florida during the summer. Holidays were always festive because of Elaine. She celebrated all of the holidays, enjoyed making Easter eggs with the grandkids, baking all types of goodies, and decorating the house to the extreme at Christmas. Her favorite color was red. Elaine always made everyone feel welcome and loved.

In honor of Elaine, please do something kind for another, but don't tell anyone about it. That's what she often did.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Kim) Heinrich and Marc Heinrich, daughter Melissa (Gary) Rumsey, grandchildren Matthew, Peyton and Ethan Heinrich, and many friends and relatives. Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church - Bedford, on Tuesday, September 30th at 12 noon, followed by burial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park - Colleyville at 2 pm.
