Elaine Kathryn Malitz

Elaine Kathryn Malitz, age 92, a resident of Prentice, WI, passed away February 1, 2026, at Rib Lake Health Services. She was born on May 17, 1933, in Catawba, WI, to parents John and Josephine (Kempen) Timmers.

She attended Kennan Grade Schools. She married the love of her life Herbert Malitz on July 26, 1953, in Milwaukee, WI. She enjoyed many activities such as embroidery, bowling, dancing, and traveling. As a homemaker she stayed busy being involved with the VFW Auxiliary in Milwaukee, the PTA, St. Paul’s, St. Florians in Hatley, the Council of Catawba, and anything her four children were involved in.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; her parents; daughter: Mary Josephine Newbolds; siblings: John (Barbara), Robert; She is survived by her children: Herbert (Lisa) Malitz, Jr.; Connie Koeberl, Linda Fain, 9 grandchildren; great grandchildren; sibling: Mary (Ralph) Schwartz; sister-in-law: Anne; many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, at St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba, WI. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elaine’s honor can be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba, WI.
