He was born October 27, 1958 in Logan, WV the son of the late Elba & Freda Workman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Wayne Workman and Elba Workman Jr.
Elby Ray enjoyed hanging out in town and spending time with his friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Deloris Dunnivan; one brother, Luke (Michelle) Workman; brother-in-law, Paul Dunivan; his good friends, Randy Adkins and Keith Frye; and a host of other friends and family.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
