Elbert "Eddie" Harris was born August, 1, 1964 to Minnie Pearl Harris and the late Prentiss Henderson St. He was preceded in deathby qsister, Mary Joyce Harris, two brothers, Daniel Harif and Cleo Harris, his grandparefits, Allen Harris and Addie Harris.
Eddie was a member of New Light M.B. Church where he sang in the choir for many years. He could always be relied on to do whatever was asked of him.
His presence will be truly missed. Eddie attended Buckatunna High School in Buckatunna, MS. He later attended Meridian Community College where he furthered his education in business.
In 1991; he was united in matrimony to Rhonda Brown and they had three lovely children, who were his pride and joy. Eddie was a people person who loved peop and never met any strangers. He loved traveling. If there was a trip planned, a par to attend or any event, you could count on our party photographer to be there taking pictures. There was never dull moment with him around.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his children: Ebony Harris, Travon Harris, Marcquerious (Shaqueria) Harris, and a bonus son JerKoby Kelly, grandchildren Kam Harris, Khylee Harris, Kylah Harris, Sa'Rayne Harris, Along with his siblings, Stevie (Sharon) Rivers, Prentiss Jr(Anna) Henderson, Janis Mabins, Maurice (Natoki)Henderson, Evette (Ray), Minnie, Curtis Henderson, Katricia Harris and Loretta Everett and one sister-in- law Percy Harris, his mother Minnie Pearl Harris, and stepmother Doctor Nettie Givens, a very special friend Rhonda Harris, and a friendly neighbor, friendly neighbor, ShawnShae Smith. A host of aunts, nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at New Light MB Church, with Rev. Ronnie Horne as the officiant, with interment following at the church cemetery.
The viewing period will be Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
