It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elda T. Martinez, who departed this life on October 5, 2025, in her cherished hometown of Lubbock, Texas. Born on July 20, 1978, Elda was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Elda was a proud member of a close-knit family, with her loving mother, Elva Olivarez, and father, Ricky Trevino, along with her beloved children, Mariah, Zayden, and Sebastian Martinez. She is also survived by her sisters, Stormy Zuniga and Neomi Alvarado, her brother, George Anthony Zuniga; many nieces, nephews and countless friends who became family over the years. Those fortunate enough to have known Elda will remember her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She had a passion for music and often filled gatherings with laughter and joy, whether through her love of karaoke or sharing her culinary creations with family and friends. Elda possessed a unique gift for making any occasion special; she was a talented party planner who excelled at bringing people together, whether for simple celebrations or grand events. Elda's happiest moments were spent in the company of her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Her unwavering support and caring nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she loved. A memorial service for Elda T. Martinez will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 6:00-8:00 p.m. also at Sanders Memorial Chapel. As we gather to honor Elda's remarkable life, let us reflect on the beautiful moments shared and the profound impact she had on our lives. Though she may no longer be with us in body, Elda's spirit will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
