Elden LeeRoy Eichholz went into the loving armies of his Lord on July 12, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1924, in EL Reno to his parents Robert and Johanna Engbrecht Eichholz. He was raised on a farm in Okarche, he attended school in Okarche graduating from high school in Okarche.
He met the love of his life Juanita Statton on a hayride, and they were married on July 25 1943, in El Reno. He owned his own shoe shop until his retirement. He was known as the Cobbler. He loved being a snowbird and camping with his family.
Elden was a loving husband, father, and pop pop to a five-generation family. Elden was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, he was a member of the men's club, and always ready to lend a hand where needed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Robert and Johanna Engbrecht Eichholz; infant son Alfred Eichholz, sisters Bertha Turner, Elda Kisner, and a brother Lloyd Eichholz.
He is survived by his son Elden "Butch" Eichholz and wife Wanda of El Reno; daughter Joyce Morris and husband Neville of Cape Town, South Africa; grandchildren Angela Widener and husband, Zach of Pocasset and Shanon Eichholz and wife, Christy of EL Reno; great-grandchildren Nikissiah Klipp and husband, Anthony of Chickasha, Amelia Eichholz of Oklahoma City, Zachary Widener of Pocasset and Cody Eichholz of El Reno. Great-great grandchildren Joseph Klipp, James Klipp, and Ellie Rhea Klipp of Chickasha. And one niece, Vicki Engbrecht.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorials be made to Wesley United Methodist church 101 S Barker, El Reno Okla. 73036 or Choice Hospice 519 W Chickasha Ave Ste A Chickasha, Okla. 73018-2411.
